Falkorring
Falkorring, “Fatal Peaks” in Norkhelsk, is the mountain range that defines the northern bound of the heartlands of Raetun. It is breached by the Falkorthruw, the “Fatal Pass.”
To the south of the range lie the fertile valleys settled by Kael the Rich and developed into the modern dominion of Verronis, the Valleys of Kael. To the north stretch the tundra forests in which Ule Bear-heart made his home, and beyond them the arctic wastes of the continent’s far north.
The Falkorring serves both as a natural fortification of the southern heartlands and as the path by which northern incursions descend upon them. Its passes have, across the centuries, decided the fate of more than one campaign.
