Nortorn
The Nortorn, called the Nortr in their own chronicles, are the largest of the Primevean families of the north of Raetun. Their language is Norkhelsk.
Before their unification the Nortorn were not one people but many rival chiefdoms of the unconsolidated north, among them the Kronorn, Zodorn, and Gelagorn, alongside the Wrogyrn, Elgnorn, and Sintnorn. They were forged into a single dominion by Þordil the Great over the Wodarukniten (War of Unification) of 16–21 AFS, after which he was crowned High King of the Nortr. The dynasty that bears his name ruled the greatest domain any Primevean had yet held.
The Nortorn count the Enorn and Kiegzorn among their own as rebellious kin, wayward branches of the family. Both peoples reject the claim and hold themselves wholly independent of the Nortr; the dispute is recorded by all and settled by none.
