Yanterr
Yanterr Wave-master, King of the Northern Isles, was a legendary Kiegzorn sailor and raider, and stands at the head of the dynasty tree that culminates in Þordil the Great. He was Þordil’s great-grandfather through his son Farnek, whose bastard son Orling in turn fathered Þordil.
He is best remembered for the long campaign of pillage he conducted against the coast of Telnon, the great Sea Market. He sailed that route many times, and his repeated raids left the Braekhunites in a perpetual state of terror.
His final raid was undertaken with an armada of hundreds of vessels and lasted two years of sustained pillage and despoilment along the Telnon coast. During the final month of that campaign Yanterr was slain in combat. After his sea pyre had been launched, the tales told of his exploits edified the terrifying visage by which all northmen came to be known.
He was survived by his sons, Jolim, called Salt-lung, and Farnek.
