Tellorn

Also known as: Tellorns, Telnonian

The Tellorn are a Rictorn folk, one of the ancient eastern peoples of the Primevean, and the inhabitants of the Telnon peninsula on the southeastern coast of Raetun. They worship the goddess Braekhun.

The Tellorn rose to power upon the sea. Under Borrn the Southerly, a great smith who married Princess Servara of Telnon and ruled as her equal, the peninsula was forged into a major naval force, its seat the fortress-city of Ankellilog, bound in lasting alliance to the Verronis. Their shores knew terror as well as trade: the longship raids of Yanterr the Wave-master despoiled the Sea Market for years.

Across the water to their south dwell the Tollorn, kindred Rictorn driven mad and banished to the cursed isle; the two peoples share a root and little else.

In older records the Tellorn appear as the Telnonian, a vestigial form now normalized.
