Bæurn
Bæurn Serpent-bane, only son of Garðwin I, Great-storm and Berta, was, like his father, a fearless sailor. He settled the western part of the Isle of Kraguth, off the coast of Mok, where he fought vicious serpents that moved like sharks but struck like lightning.
Bæurn hunted a great deal of innocent Dai’dou, leading to their extinction. This habit culminated in the arctic wastes north of Mok, where he attempted to slay the last of them, Maerxsikyst, but in turn was lost to the world. His path to that final hunt had been interrupted by the leviathan Salt-bane, which intercepted his voyage and which he slew before sailing on; it is from this deed that his epithet Serpent-bane survives.
