Drakhul
The Drakhul are the Daiā of the northern reaches of Mok, the conquering imperial people of the dragons. Their seat is Yyingrigotl, the tallest peak in Nurrheim since the doom of Eksnothrar, at whose foot lies their holy Lochnormouthin, the Lake in the Mountain. They worship the sun-god Saeiligarkeuss.
The Drakhul were scattered across northern Mok after the eruption of Mount Eksnothrar drove them from their old home, dispersed for decades among twelve warring city-states. They were consolidated into a single empire by Viedskavn, the Crimson Emperor, who prevailed in the Warring City-states Period and was crowned Grand Tyrant of all the Drakhul in 50 AFS.
Theirs is a culture of conquest and consumption. In preparation for the First Drakhullic Invasion of Raetun of 85 AFS, which opened the western front of the Crisis Upon Raetun, the Drakhul gathered Primevean thralls from across the Sea of Garðwin for what their court called “tests of the conquered lands”: the ritual butchery and consumption of captives to judge the worth of the lands they meant to take. Theirs were the markets that received the Thrakheddenol, the Primeveans whom Þordil the Great sold into Drakhullic slavery.
To the south of Mok dwell the Doghul, with whom the Drakhul share the continent and a grievous enmity.
