Dai'dou
The Dai’dou were the Daiā of the line of Oglethar, the dragon-prince who, alone among the sons of Hhargtkle, sided with the goddess Prignam in the War in Heaven against his brothers Niverine and Ættiraxes, whose line became the Doghul.
The Dai’dou and the Doghul came at last to open war, the Doghullic-daidaen Civil War, ignited by the curse of Exar and broken off only by the catastrophe of the Second Voityllic Rift, in whose aftermath the surviving Dai’dou, like the Drakhul, began a great exodus.
Those who carried the exodus to Raetun met the crusade of the Enorn, who venerated Ættiraxes — slain by Oglethar in the War in Heaven — as a martyr, and made war for his sake upon Oglethar’s line.
The Dai’dou are no more. They were hunted nearly to extinction by the Enorn during the Twilight of the Smooth Serpents. Bæurn Serpent-bane, son of Garðwin I, whose pursuit of the last of them, Maerxsikyst, an heir of Oglethar, ended in the arctic wastes north of Mok, where the hunter slew his quarry and was himself lost to the world.
